White Compression Socks for Long Shifts and Training
Every pair of white compression socks here gives you 15-20 mmHg of graduated compression in knee-high, crew or ankle length. Pick bamboo for all-day comfort on the floor, or performance fabric for runs and training sessions.
White suits white-uniform dress codes: nursing and dental placements, plus lab, pharmacy and kitchen shifts. It works for court sports and the gym too. We’re a family of vets who spent years on 12-hour shifts, and every fabric we use gets tested on a real shift first.
Knee High, Crew or Ankle: Picking Your Length
Knee High White Compression Socks
This is the full-length option. Compression is firmest at your ankle and eases off toward the cuff, which sits just under the knee. Our white bamboo knee-high measures 14" (35cm) from heel to cuff.
Reach for these on long shifts, days spent standing, long flights, or any day your ankles feel puffy by evening. Browse all our knee-high compression socks for more shades and prints.
White Crew Compression Socks
Crew socks sit mid-calf. The white bamboo crew adds built-in arch support, a cushioned cuff and a terry-knit heel and footbed, so it works under work trousers and in gym sneakers. See the full crew compression sock range.
White Ankle Compression Socks
A low-cut sock that hugs your foot and arch, with the same cushioning as the crew. Grab the white bamboo ankle compression socks for sneakers and shorter days.
Crew and ankle styles mostly work on your foot and arch. If you want graduated support up the leg, go knee-high.
Bamboo or Performance Fabric?
Our bamboo socks use a rayon-from-bamboo blend that’s soft, hypoallergenic, sweat-wicking and quick to dry, and it keeps smells in check. The knee-high pair is seam-free, with extra-thick padding at the heel and toe to protect against blisters. It’s the pick for sensitive skin and a full day in clinic.
Performance socks are a nylon blend built for running and training. You get ventilated zones to keep feet cool, 2x2 ribbed panels under the arch so the sock stays put, cushioning at the heel, toe and ankle, and a smooth keyline toe that won’t rub.
The fabric holds its compression through repeated washing. Pick White & Grey or White & Blue here, or shop all performance compression socks for darker shades.
How Much Compression Do You Need?
Every sock in this collection is 15-20 mmHg graduated compression. The most pressure sits at your ankle and eases as it moves up your leg, which supports blood flow back up toward your heart.
That’s a moderate, everyday level for standing shifts, desk days, travel and exercise. Firmer levels like 20-30 mmHg are usually recommended by a doctor for a specific condition, and we don’t make them. Our guide to compression sock mmHg levels breaks down each range.
Sizing and Wide Calf Fits
Socks come in Small, Medium and Large, matched to your shoe size and calf. Measure the widest part of your calf with a soft tape, ideally in the morning before any swelling. Then check the compression socks sizing chart. Our step-by-step measuring guide walks you through it.
The white bamboo knee-high comes in Regular, Wide and Extra Wide calf, and it’s the only white style with Extra Wide. Performance socks come in Regular and Wide, and crew and ankle come in Regular. For roomier fits in other shades, browse wide calf compression socks.
White and Black & White Multipacks
If you wear white every shift, a multipack means fewer reorders. White bamboo crew and ankle socks come in 4-packs and 6-packs. Black & white mixes come in bamboo crew and ankle 4-packs, plus performance 4-packs and 6-packs.

Keeping White Compression Socks White
- Wash after every wear, turned inside out, at 30°C (86°F) or below with other whites.
- Treat marks before they go in the wash, starting with cold water, since hot water sets blood. Our guide to getting blood stains out of scrubs applies to socks too.
- Skip the bleach, the dryer and the iron. Heat and bleach break down spandex, so your socks lose their squeeze long before they lose their bright white.
- Hang them to air dry.
- Rotate a few pairs, and replace any pair that starts sliding down or feeling loose.
White Compression Sock FAQs
Are white compression socks the same as hospital stockings?
No. The white anti-embolism (TED) stockings you might be given after surgery are prescribed for people who spend most of the day lying down. Our socks are made for people who are up and moving.
If you were sent home in TED stockings, check with your doctor before swapping them out. Our TED stockings vs compression socks guide covers the differences.
Can men wear white compression socks?
Yes. Each sock size lists both women’s and men’s shoe sizes, so choose by your shoe size and calf measurement.
Which White Pair to Start With
For long shifts on your feet, start with the white bamboo knee-high. If you run or train in white, go for the White & Grey or White & Blue performance pair. For a low-profile sock under trousers or in sneakers, pick crew or ankle. A 4-pack or 6-pack covers a full week of shifts.
